PROJECT SUMMARY
Chainfest introduced a fresh and unique take on familiar foods. The event featured exclusive menu items from popular chain restaurants, reimagined by their own Michelin-starred chefs. It was a one-of-a-kind weekend gathering, combining a food festival with a fan convention dedicated to chain restaurants. With over 20,000 square feet of games, activities, and surprises, it was the ultimate experience for food enthusiasts and partygoers. Co-founder BJ Novak envisioned a world where the essence of all chain restaurants was encapsulated in a unified visual language, complete with nostalgic decor and retro wood paneling.
The design of the bar area was a testament to creativity, with an emphasis on vibrant colors and captivating patterns that represented each of the featured Diageo spirit brands and their corresponding chain restaurant cocktails. In addition to the bar, stand-up arcades were integrated into the space, creating a dynamic environment that encouraged guests to gather, reminisce, and indulge in friendly competition. We added a worn-in lounge area that provided the perfect setting for guests to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy rounds of Mario Kart, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the festival.
