PROJECT SUMMARY
PUMA had the ambitious idea to create and entire city to celebrate the launch of their latest women's training shoe, DEFY, with celebrity influence, Selena Gomez. "To defy is to be brave" Selena says about the new shoe. "It's about pushing the envelope and not obeying any 'expectations' placed on you by society. Puma has captured this feeling perfectly with their new Defy training shoe. I remind myself daily the importance of defying the outside noise and being true to myself."
We commandeered three city blocks in the New York sector within the Paramount backdrop to establish DEFY City - a cutting-edge, futuristic urban center that integrates various elements of the training shoe for visitors to engage with. Our takeover featured a balloon-filled gym with PUMA dancers, a bodega offering all-you-can-eat candy and DEFY scratchers, a newsstand showcasing PUMA-branded zines, interactive DEFY City posters that worked with an AR app, and tons of other exciting attractions.
